Art That Inspires Me- Rob Ryan

My mum recently introduced me to the work of Rob Ryan. She gave me a cute tea towel with one of his images screen printed on it. Its just to pretty to use in the kitchen so it's hanging on my wall for now.

I have always been a big fan of  the art of paper cutting, with it's intricate details and beautiful silhouettes. Today's paper cutting is much more cute and quirky than older styles (although I do still love them to).

To be honest when I first saw Rob Ryan's work I thought that it was by  female as it looks very feminine to me. His work is very beautiful. It is filled with themes of love, happy couples, beautiful messages and the cutest little borders.
If your interested in seeing more of his work you can find him here on his website, etsy or his blog.

Drowning In This Feeling

... pull me to the surface before my mind is lost forever.

Writing on Skin

I was asked by a good friend of mine to help out with an art assignment. She recruited a heap of us to help out. All that was needed was a pen and a cooperative body to act as our canvas. We were to write our most prevalent thoughts on somebody's skin, and here is mine. Each of our photos will be included in the art work as well as the pens with wich we wrote it.
I love her ideas they are always fresh and interesting.

Hopefully my creativity will start to flow again soon. My poor head is just so cluttered with everything else at the moment.

She Looked At The World Through Rose-colored Glasses

I'm in love with rosy shades of pink.
Once upon a time I hated the colour but I've come to appreciate it once again.

Also I'm on the hunt for a baby pink stackhat, if anyone has one they'd like to sell or knows where i may find one please let me know : ).
